"It is a pleasure to welcome you to the Spabuzzlive site, the student-managed website for the school of performing arts. The idea of the site came from the student experiences of Professor Laurence Ballard’s class: Professional Studies in Media Relations. In the class students developed, among many other things, foundational skill sets in arts promotion and communication. Under the direction of SCAD student CB Moore, the website serves as a window into the producing and other creative activities of the school of performing arts. It reveals to the viewer not just the extraordinary achievements of students in performing arts, production design, and dramatic writing, but also serves as a networking and outreach device to other majors and programs of the college. Performing arts, with its mission to both embrace and define new avenues of performance, is a broad and comprehensive field of study. It is our hope that through this website we can encourage the collaboration of other artists of the college, as well as provide a student-driven mechanism to publicize our successes and exchange information that will further our goal to provide an experience of the highest order for our students in the arts."
